How To Play

Place the buzzer card in the middle of the gameplay area, in reach of all players. Take 3 question cards from each mini-game, being sure to keep them red side up and not read them. Pile them on top of each other, making sure Answer Smash is at the bottom, and place them inside the open box, putting the remaining cards to one side.
Select a player to remove the top card from the box, place it red side up, central to all players, and read out the information on the card. Top Tip: The first time you play House of Games, we suggest that you read out the short summary on the card about the game type before revealing the question. It will help everyone understand each game.
Once the full question or clue is revealed, it’s all about speed – the first person to hit the Buzzer card gets to give their answer! That player must then look at the answer on the reverse of the card, being careful to keep it hidden from the other players. If that player gets the answer right, they get to keep the card.
If they get the answer wrong, they must lay the card back down, red side up. The question is reread, and the remaining players try to hit the Buzzer card first to give their answer. If no one gives the correct answer, the card is removed from the game. Play continues in the same way until all three cards from that round have been played.
Once a round is finished, move on to the next mini-game. Play continues in the same way for each mini-game, until they have all been played. Remember, Answer Smash is always the last round to be played.

The Winner

After the Answer Smash round, add up the scores. The player with the most cards is the House of Games champion! In the event of a tie, play one final Answer Smash card. The first of the tied players to buzz in with the correct answer wins.
